Game Intellect
Overwatch – is an online team-based game generally played as a first-person shooter. The game features several different game modes, principally designed around squad-based combat with two opposing teams of six players each.
To build and develop Overwatch Blizzard uses Unity, Unreal engine 2, 3 and 4 and ‘Overwatch’ uses a proprietary visual scripting language called Statescript to execute the high-level state machines used throughout the game, including the logic driving hero weapons and abilities. It took Blizzard a speedy time of 2 years to create Overwatch after spending 7 years to create another popular game called ‘Titan’
‘Blizzard’ and ‘Iron Galaxy’ both developed and published Overwatch

The background –

In my game today I made it look better and updated the background image, I also textured more objects to fit the theme of the game.

To make the game more advanced I added buoyancy and Patrice effectors. For example made it so when the character goes over a certain object that it would shoot the character up like wind would, this has a big impact in the game. I added particle effectors to the water so that when the character lands in the water, splashes of water will appear on impact.

Mortal combat is an action packed game, focused on fighting and leveling up in ranks and fighting people with more skill or the same skill as you. The game consists of many levels, many maps (backgrounds) and many different fighters. Each fighter has their own unique special ability. The origonal game was a simple 2D Game where 2 people (Originally the player versus a AI Computer Programmed enemy) – The original game included the original characters which have been changed since the original.

In comparison to the new versions of MK – Alot of things have changed, Instead of being simple and targeted towards many various types of people as a fighting game, It has became alot more Violent, alot more Gorey and alot more action packed. Fatalities are a big part of this game and since the original MK The fatalities have been made to be alot more ‘disgusting’. The original MK was rated for Mature audiences as it was not that graphic or disgusting. Now – on the newer versions – the game is rated 18+.

Today (13/12/2019) – The class was challenged with a quiz based upon everything were have learned so far. Over all i got 22288 Points which if was translated into grades would be a merit.
Game Design Trends.
Cross Platform – One popular thing within games is being able to use cross platform services, For example. Using Cross platform allows a user / player on one Gaming Platform to play with another or multiple other platforms. For example a Xbox user can play with A PS4 User, as well as any other platform. In video games with online gaming functionality, cross-platform play, crossplay or cross-play, describes the ability of players using different video game hardware to play with each other simultaneously.
Cosmetics – In many games, The games offer additional Cosemetics that players can purchase. These cosmetics offer no other difference in game other then The look of the character or weapon skin you are using. Many players like to buy said cosmetics as They may be rare in the future leading to becoming more and more expensive. This feature allows players to have many different ”styles” and ”themes” that they can set.
Game development Trends.
Remakes and Backwards comparability – Backward compatible (or sometimes backward-compatible or backwards compatible) refers to a hardware or software system that can successfully use interfaces and data from earlier versions of the system or with other systems. For example, Xbox has many more backwards compatible games then any other software, They allow users to play many old gaming titles
